Chainmail Bra Accessory

Project Overview

A sculptural bra accessory constructed entirely from hook-and-eye closures, developed in collaboration with Tess van Zalinge. Building on the brand’s signature use of corsetry and traditional garment fastenings, the piece transforms a functional detail into a bold and visible structure.

Workflow

The individual hook-and-eye pieces are connected by hand to create a flexible chainmail-like surface that follows and frames the body. The accessory explores the idea of bringing the hidden construction of a garment to the forefront, turning its “backbone” into the main visual element.

The piece was presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week, Amsterdam Fashion Week and as part of Tess van Zalinge’s 10-year anniversary show in Utrecht.
