Resin Dress

Project Overview

A resin dress developed as a study of form, structure, and the relationship between material and the body. The piece was sculpted and molded directly onto a mannequin, allowing the material to determine the silhouette as it was shaped.

Workflow

Rather than working from a pre-existing pattern, the dress was created through direct draping and manipulation, exploring volume, contour, and the sculptural possibilities of resin. The process captures the tension between the rigid material and the soft, organic shape of the body.
